Hostility to Art
Plato never thought artists would be able to concretize an abstract idea. For him, it has something to do with philosophy when it comes to interpretation of ideas.According to him, artworks are deceiving in a way that it hinders us from acknowledging the truth that is why artworks should be prohibited in the society. He even added that the arrangement of the universe is drawn out of a mathematical rule making it a prudent idea. In order to affirm what is imitation, Plato has given a significant idea which has become a firm basis of art's imitation to nature.
